COVID-19 Statement
March 24 th 2020
  • Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, Beijing has imposed very strict back-to-work policies: 1) no more than 50% of the staff can be allowed back to the office, and 2) mandatory 14-day self-quarantine period for anyone who return to Beijing from outside.
  • We have taken the following steps to help combat this outbreak, and at the same time, ensure the safety of our employees and their families: 1) Yoopay has made its international payment gateways free for organizations to raise funds; 2) tele-commute work policy for all our employees (both Beijing employees and outside employees).
  • However, one implication is that the refund and withdraw requests could not be processed during the tele-commute period. It is our long standing financial and system procedure that those requests can only be processed on our secure worksite to protect client funds.
  • As of today, we expect to be able to return to normal work schedule starting from Monday, April 6 th 2020, and will start to process withdraw and refund requests by then.
  • The normal withdraw or refund processing takes about 3-5 business days. Please pay attention to the following:
  • Refund: The actual time for the funds to arrive at the bank may be further delayed due to the backlog of refund requests. Also, because of AliPay and Wechat Pay transaction policies, the transactions older than three months cannot be refunded automatically back to AliPay or WeChat Pay accounts. Instead, those transactions must be refunded directly back to the customer’s bank account. We will reach out to you to get the bank account detail to process the transaction. This process might take another additional week.
  • Yoopay Balance: Customers do have the option of leaving the balance in their Yoopay account, which can be used to register for next event.
  • Withdraw: We need to verify that each account holder has enough deposits to cover the client refund requests, in case that the events may have already been cancelled or are expected to be cancelled in the coming months.
  • We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding at this challenging time.
