2018年的“进化”，是灵族在中国云南举办的第五次有关电子音乐和艺术的盛会。本次的特别之处在于其前所未有的国际艺人阵容，现场总共分为三个舞台 - 高岸牧场三天两夜不间断的Psytrance音乐；锐舞山沟包括House, Nu Disco, Techno, Minimal and Bass等其他风格的电子音乐；还有在听觉绿洲的休闲放松。独一无二的装饰、视觉艺术、工作坊、流动表演、装置艺术和更多的美食，将汇集在云南迷人的山谷中等着你。

每年的灵族山谷都会变成一个惊人的、可以让艺术呼吸与生长的地方。

每年我们都会围绕一个主题开展这个节日 - 2018年将是“进化”。 这标志着行动或过程的升华、价值或程度的提升。

在经历了我们2017年的重生后，每一位2018年灵族的参与者都在努力改进每一个方面，从艺术家、DJ、表演者、装饰、音响系统、食品、饮料、露营区域、回收利用系统等等，使此次灵族达到更高的水平。

为了体现出这个巨大的承诺，我们选择了两个符号，可以同时表达中国东方文化与世界其他地区文化之间独特的国际交流。

 

为了通过全球文化框架来象征和展示我们的进化意图，我们选择了使用“三曲腿图”。世界各地的人类，马耳他人、希腊人、迈锡尼人、西西里人、日本人和韩国人，都已经在他们的文明中使用过这种“三曲腿图”符号。这个符号最早可能与凯尔特文化关联更大，但已经在很多不同的文化中使用很长时间的“三曲腿图”这个象征，无疑代表了许多不同的意义。使用者常常用符号来表示、定义他们的意图和展示他们的意志。对于“灵族SpiritTribe ：进化”，我们选择更贴近于凯尔特人原本赋予这个象征的意义：个人成长、人类发展和意识扩展。

 

只有把西方的文化参照和我们中国象征意义的体现结合起来，才能真正实现“进化”的完整意义。中国龙，中国的象征，伟大、祝福、善良、力量、卓越、毅力、英雄、勇敢、神性、贵族、乐观、能量和智慧，所有最著名的文化象征。为了实现我们的进化，龙图腾将把我们的精神、毅力和乐观专注于让我们对灵族的成长、发展和扩展方面实现卓越进化。

2018’s Ascension is the fifth edition of Spirit Tribe’s electronic music and arts festival in Yunnan, China. An unprecedented international line up on three stages – three days and nights of Psytrance on the Dance Meadow, an eclectic range of electronic music including House, Nu Disco, Techno, Minimal and Bass at Raver’s Ravine and the Aural Oasis, a dedicated stage for Chill Out and Acoustic music.

Every year the Spirit Tribe valley is turned into one prodigious living and breathing art space.

The theme each year revolves around the festivals name - for 2018 that is “Ascension”. The act or process of ascending, rising or increasing to higher levels, values, or degrees

After our Re:Birth in 2017 the 2018 edition of Spirit Tribe sees everyone involved striving to improve and attain the highest possible level of production we can throughout every aspect of the festival. From the artists, DJs, performers involved, right through to the decor, sound systems, food, drinks, camping areas, recycling and much much more.

To embody this mammoth undertaking we have chosen two symbols that we have joined together to express the unique international exchange that takes place during the festival between Chinese eastern culture and the rest of the world.

To symbolize and project our intention of Ascension through a global cultural framework we have chosen to use the triskelion. The triskelion has been used by a great number of cultures all over the world including Maltese, Greek, Mycenaean, Sicilian, Japanese, and Korean. However it is probably most widely associated with Celtic culture. Having been used in a multitude of cultures and over such a long period time, a symbol such as the triskelion will undoubtedly have numerous and diverse meanings. As with any symbol, it’s the intention of the user which really has the power to define it and in turn then use it to manifest that will.  For Spirit Tribe V: Ascension we are empowering this symbol with one of the Celtic interpretations that is: personal growth, human development and spiritual expansion.

It is only until we combine our western cultural reference with our Chinese symbolic embodiment that the full intention of Ascension can really be brought to fruition. Probably the most well-known cultural symbol of China, the Dragon can symbolize, greatness, blessing, goodness, power, excellence, perseverance, heroism, boldness, divinity, nobility, optimism, energy, and intelligence. For the purposes of achieving our ascension the dragon will be focusing our energy, optimism and perseverance into allowing us to achieve excellence in growth, development and expansion of Spirit Tribe.

The festival is from April 5. 10 am until April 7. 6 PM. You can also arrive at the festival grounds one day early on April 4.

Camping Set
IF you don't want to bring your own camping equipment, you can rent tents. Be aware, that you still need to have a festial ticket! The Camping Set does not include access to the festival!

CAMPING GEAR RENTAL finishes at noon, March 25. ! Afterwards you won't be able to order tents at the venue! If you need a tent, please order beforehand!

There are organized busses leaving from Kunming Xishan Park metro station's parking lot at 12 o'clock noon on April 5. Return busses leave Spirit Tribe at 2 pm on April 7. The bus is included in the festival ticket, and you'll need your ticket to get on the bus! Get off at TaiPingZhen(Taiping Xiaojie, about 40 minutes).

Take local bus line 5 (small green busses, 2 RMB) to GuangLang XiaoCun station.
Follow the signs and arrive at Spirit Tribe!

It's perfectly fine if you come by car, however, since our festival takes place in the middle of nature, we do not have any parking space at the festival grounds. From the nearby road it's about a 300m walk.

这是一个露营活动，所以我们推荐你带帐篷，睡袋，床垫或者其他方便露营的工具。因为日夜温度差别较为大，所以夜里的时候多穿一点，白天不要穿太多

夜幕降临的时候，没有城市泛滥的灯光，山谷的光线会显得微弱，所以手电筒是夜行的必备物品！

If you have, you can bring your own tent and camping equipment. You should also prepare clothing for chilly nights and warm days, as the temperature difference can be quite big. Hammocks can also be brought, as there are plenty of trees on the campsite, but please ensure that you don't harm the trees.

Without the lights of a city nearby, it can get quite dark at night – so bring your torches and lights to be safe walking around the festival grounds.

Forbidden items

因为干旱的天气，禁止携带一切存在火灾隐患的物品，比如BBQ，汽油，煤炭等等。如果发现有人携带这些物品，我们会暂时代为保管。此外，不允许把自己的酒水饮料带入场内。我们需要大家通过在这里购买酒水饮料来支持我们的活动。禁止携带一切违法物品入场。

Due to the dry weather, we cannot allow BBQs, charcoal, petroleum, firelighters, gas, electric stoves or cooking apparatus of any kind. The risk of fire is just to high! Furthermore, drinks and food are not allowed on the campgrounds. Food and beverages are a direct way to support this project, which is realized without any corporate sponsors or advertisement!

Also note that NO ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES are allowed on the festival site!

Anyone who is caught abusing illegal substances on site will be reported to the authorities immediately and without exception!

Open fires are strictly prohibited! We are in the middle of the dry season and the tiniest spark could endanger you, others and the entire festival. Thank you for your understanding!

All tastes will be catered to by our kitchen staff where we offer vegan, vegetarian and non-vegetarian food and snacks for reasonable prices. You can quench your thirst with a variety of imported alcohol, local beers as well as soft and hot drinks.

The sale of food and beverages has a big part in the realization of this project, so bringing your own food and beverages is not allowed.

We have two dedicated camping grounds that were checked for excellent Fengshui by the Shamans of the tribe! One is located behind Dance Meadow - right in the thick of it! This year, we've added a family-friendly camping area in the serene mountain valley behind Raver's Ravine! You can either bring your own camping equipment, or rent a tent. Note that rental tents have to be pre-ordered in advanced, via the ticket link!

There are guesthouses and hotels about 5-7km away from the venue. Search for keywords "KunHuaYuan" or "TaiPingXinCheng".

Yes, on site and free of charge.

»»—- What about the weather? -—««

The weather is naturally hard to predict. From experience, we expect sunny, hot days up to 30°C while the nights can be chilly temperatures as low as 10°C. Rain rare in this season, but not impossible! So be prepared for all weather conditions, bring a light rain jacket as well as warm clothes for the night.

We will publish a more detailed weather report shortly before the festival!

We will also offer space blankets for sale to keep you warm during a colder night!

Part of the festival is the creative market, where international and local artists display and sell their works. Amongst others you will find handicrafts, clothes, décor and much more surprises!

There are no lockers on the festival site, so please take care of your own valuables!

Spirit Tribe的场地不仅仅意味着自然，同时也是我们的家。在享受的同时请不要忘记尊重和保护。为此，请前来的朋友们认真阅读以下条款。

1. 昆明气候干燥，任何含有火灾隐患的物品都不允许带入。禁止携带烧烤工具、木炭、石油等此类物品。玻璃瓶容易引起危机，同时也属于危险品，禁止携为了确保这一点我们会在入口处进行相关检查，请谅解。

2. 禁止携带一切违法物品入场。

3. 请勿自带酒水和食品。

4. 本次活动严格遵循中国法律，任何在活动现场的违法行为都将被制止，请大家互相监督。

5. 我们希望建造一个积极、平等、富有创造力的空间，请尊重你周围的人，不欢迎任何过激、暴力行为！

6. 请在指定帐篷区域露营。

7. 我们会免费提供垃圾袋，请及时清理身边的垃圾。

The land Spirit Tribe is on is not only an area of breath taking natural beauty, but also our home. As well as having an amazing time please respect the nature, environment and our home. There are a few conditions that everyone attending Spirit Tribe needs to adhere to.

1.     Absolutely under no circumstances are any fires of any kind allowed. The event will be held during the dry season and forest fires are a very real danger. This also means that no BBQs, charcoal, petroleum, firelighters, gas, electric stoves or cooking apparatus of any kind are allowed on the site. Neither are glass bottles as they also are a safety hazard. We have to make sure of this, so please understand that searches will be carried out.

2.     No illegal substances may be brought onto the Site.

3.     No outside food or drinks can be brought in.

4.     Attendees agree to abide by all of the laws of The People’s Republic of China. Anyone found to be doing anything illegal will be reported to the authorities

5.     Aggressive and violent behaviour is totally against everything we stand for. Please respect all your fellow tribes people and help to create a positive space full of creativity, freedom and exchange

6.     Camping is in marked areas only

7.      Please help us to look after the environment by taking care of your rubbish we will supply you with rubbish bags, keep our home clean.
