The Beijing Energy Network is working with the Cleanweb Initiative to organize the first Cleanweb hackathon in Asia!  We’re looking for computer programmers, product designers, business gurus, and folks simply interested in energy and environment to come out and make this an awesome event!

Cleanweb hackathons demonstrate the impact of applying information technology to resource constraints in transportation, energy, waste, water, agriculture, etc. We will bring together developers, designers and business professionals dedicated to optimizing resource use and accelerating cleantech development. Participants are tasked with building applications leveraging web, mobile social technology coupled with available open data sets and APIs.

绿网黑客马拉松将展现在交通、能源、废物利用、水利、农业等领域中应用信息技术的价值。我们将会聚集开发者、设计师、商务专家，以求合力最优化利用资源，加快清洁技术发展。本次参与者的任务为利用网络、移动社交等手段，配合开放的数据和API来建立新的应用程序。

In 2012 alone, fourteen Cleanweb Hackathons took place in the US, Canada, France, and Italy. Cleanweb communities are found in over 20 cities worldwide, and over 100 Cleanweb apps/solutions have been created. 

At this event, we will have representatives from technology companies, top notch investment firms, high-level energy experts and technology representatives as judges and advisors.  We are also accepting incoming interest from potential mentors, judges, and sponsors. In return for your company's sponsorship, we will acknowledge you as an official Cleanweb Hackathon Beijing sponsor and provide your company with a brief speaking opportunity during the event.
