Le French Lab
Le French Lab
The French Lab is a non-profit organization that brings together like-minded individuals who are equally passionate and committed towards driving positive change and developing successful projects.
The French Lab is well known for organizing large scale projects such as Forum Working Together in which we reunite international MNCs with SMEs and start-ups to accelerate collaboration. Additionally, we put on the Fête de la Musique, during which we assemble 50 concerts on each 21st of June, drawing cumulative crowds of about 4000 people. Smaller scale projects such as community gardens, business conferences and literature cafés have built up the reputation of the French Lab.
Through our projects, our members have access to the main French institutions such as the French Embassy and the French Chamber of Commerce as well as the international community of entrepreneurs and individuals who bring about positive change in Beijing.
The French Lab is the new name of the former French Junior Chamber International Beijing created in 2007.

The French Lab, in partnership with Day Day Up introduces the fifth edition of its new serie of events:
Be Inspired: how to conciliate passion and top level career
Amanda Galsworty who has been the interpreter of 3 French presidents and funded Alto International, a unique concept offering all-round language services worldwide 24/7. She worked on the UN circuit and was the official interpreter during bilateral States summits, G8, G20, NATO, UN, General Assembly, etc. She is also the mother of 3 children and the spouse of the French Ambassador in Beijing.
Marion Lespine, GM of Limagrain, the French leader in field and vegetable seeds as well as cereal products. Marion is passionate about travelling, environmental issues and of course, China. She managed to conciliate all her passions by working for the United Nations in Rome, to travel for a year in Africa to follow up the work of local NGOs, move to China to help French companies setting up a business in China while participating to the launch of the French Lab back in 2007 and taking care of her 3 children.
Together, Amanda and Marion started the “Nurseries for Nurseries”: a friendly contest to grow vegetable gardens in kindergardens and primary schools. It aims at encouraging children to learn to garden, care about their environment and spark interest in healthy eating and living.
Currently, 23 schools (21 in Beijing and 2 in Gansu Province) have taken part in a friendly competition, nearly 900 children and their families, teachers and experts have been actively involved, and a total of 22.000 children in China were impacted.
The Be Inspired conferences are based on an open live format: the speakers and the audience share together their challenges and how they overcame them.
Through our Be Inspired conferences, get the chance to finally reach the other side: meet the real person behind the entrepreneur.
- What are the challenges they faced? How did they overcome them?
- What do they wish to have known before and what would have they done better?
- How did they get so passionate about what they do?
