Joseph Lee (Emcee)

Founder of Busy Bee Education

Ambitious entrepreneur would be an understatement for Joseph Lee.  Being born into a middle class family in Canada life was very simple for his family but not for him.  He envisioned doing many things as a young child and was fortunate enough to know what he wanted to be at a very young age, a successful businessman.  

With over 15 years of work experience in the following industries: F&B, retail, real estate, banking, fashion, and education, he has developed a great skill to create businesses from scratch.  Through his work experience, he’s learned how to spot and develop great opportunities, create successful marketing strategies, and has successfully raised capital.  A true serial entrepreneur by heart and one that is on a mission to make a difference in this world.  

Brian Tam (Guest Speaker)
Creativity Catalyst & Founder of Let's Make Great!

Born in New York and raised in New Jersey, Brian is a 4th generation entrepreneur.  However he didn’t discover his own creative potential until his late 20’s. 
 Not knowing what he should do, he decided on “General Business” at the University of Maryland, as it was the safest choice. After school, he continued to take the easy road by working at the biggest company he could find.   
 
Within a few years, he found that this safe, standard path wasn’t satisfying.  So he started to explore, coming to Shanghai in 2007 and taking on a variety of jobs & projects until when he finally realized he was an entrepreneur.   
 In 2013, he started Let’s Make Great! a creativity consultancy to help companies in China to grow by exploring and solving innovation challenges. 
 
Along the way, Brian became a three-time TEDx speaker, and most recently the creator of “PROTO”, a Kickstarter project successfully funded in less than 2 days.  Last year, he biked around the entire 1200 KM coastline of Taiwan in 16 days for fun. 

Michael Hauge (Guest Speaker)

Michael Hauge serves as Founder and Partner of LearningLeaders, a Hong Kong and Shanghaibased consulting firm specializing in professional skills training and lifelong educational services.  At LearningLeaders, he designs and leads custom workshops and seminars that empower executives and their teams to engage and interact with greater confidence and cross-cultural understanding, ultimately leading to improved business outcomes.  Additionally, he manages long-term strategy and partner relationships for the company. 
 
Mr. Hauge’s interest in public speaking and cross-cultural communication began at an early age and he has since traveled all over the world to judge at various public speaking competitions.  Most recently, every year from 2014 – 2017, he has been invited to serve as a judge at the World Individual Debate and Public Speaking Championships, taking him to Lithuania, Hong Kong, the U.S. and Australia.  He was selected to judge the Grand Finals of the 2015 World Individual Impromptu event and the 2016 Grand Finals of Debate. Since 2015, he has also delivered speeches at the Yabuli China Entrepreneurs Conference and multiple TEDx conferences, among other events. 

Jonathan Peng
Trainer & Award Winning Speaker

Jonathan has over 10 years of professional experience in executive leadership positions and is currently a public speaking, presentation, and soft skills trainer whom has worked with a variety of audiences ranging from young adults to corporate clientele from fortune 500’s and some of the best schools in China. 

He is an award winning keynote speaker whom is ranked second in the country in both prepared and impromptu speaking in the 2017 Toastmasters International Speech Competition. When not competing, he speaks and hosts different events and also creates audio and video content for numerous platforms which reaches thousands of viewers every day.
