“泰和重宝”是金章宗完颜璟于泰和四年(公元1204年)始铸的青铜钱币。据《金史·食货志》载:“泰和四年八月铸大钱，一值十，篆书曰‘泰和重宝'与钞参行。"

自公元1115年太祖完颜阿骨打建国以来，金代在长达40余年里没有本朝的货币，不断沿用辽、宋旧钱，“泰和"钱的铸造，方便了货币交流，促进了商品流通。“泰和重宝"就钱文而言，有玉箸篆和瘦金体之分，犹有北宋宣和、政和之余风。“泰和"寓意祥和、吉利，安泰和顺、有国泰民安的意味。用来寄予人们良好的祝福。

Copper coin from Jin Zhong Du‘Tai He Zhong Bao' is a bronze coin that was minted by Emperor Jin

Zhangzong(1204AD). According to the ‘Shi Huo Zhi’(Yearbook of Food and Commodities), the country was prosperous and the coin had a value of ten. The seal inscription reads‘Heavy Treasure'(‘重宝- Zhong Bao'). The Jin dynasty, which was founded by Wanyan Aguda in 1115 AD, did not have its own currency for more than 40 years, but continued to use the old money of the Liao and Song dynasties. The casting of ‘Taihe' coin facilitated the exchange of money and promoted the movement of goods. The Chinese character“泰和” (TÃi Hé) symbolises promise, happiness, peace and harmony as well as national prosperity and inner peace. It is used to convey good wishes to people，招财进宝means'money that goes home'.
