    OCTAVE DU SARTEL (1828-1894)

    became known for his book "La Porcelaine de Chine," the first monograph
    in French, published in 1881. His parents came from prestigious families
    and distinguished themselves as patrons of the arts and literature. In
    1883, he joined the National Manufactory of Sèvres in France to unlock
    the secrets of certain Chinese techniques, such as translucent enamel on
    porcelain, oxblood stain, and celadon glazes. The masterpieces featured
    in his book range from beautiful vases, to delicate figurines and snuff
    bottles with intricate, multicolored patterns, and have attracted art
    lovers around the world.

    他因《中国瓷器》一书而闻名，这是1881年出版的第一本
    法语专著. 他的父母来自名门望族，是艺术和文学的杰出赞助人.
