设计出自美国插画师Kurt Wiese（库尔特 维泽1887-1974），是世界著名童书插画家。出生于德国，上世纪初他在中国生活了6年，主要在中国从事商品贸易，是一位中国通，曾经为林语堂先生的“with Love and Irony”《讽颂集》创作过插图，作为插画家他曾两次获得纽伯瑞奖，两次获得凯迪克奖。Kurt为《THe Chinese Ink Stick》图书设计了封面和插图，封面设计颜色明快、线条流畅，充满童趣，封面使用黄色、红色、紫色、蓝色，表达出强烈中国式故事色彩，红底墨书的福字十分抢眼。

The keyring design is inspired by American illustrator Kurt Wiese (1887-1974), a world-renowned children's book illustrator. Born and schooled in Germany, Kurt Wiese later lived in China for six years in the early 20th century. In China, he primarily engaged in selling merchandise and had a deep understanding of the country. He illustrated for Mr. Lin Yutang's With Love and Irony collection. As an illustrator, Kurt awarded the Newbery Honour twice and the Caldecott Honour twice.

Kurt designed the cover and illustrations for the book The Chinese Ink Stick. The cover design is vibrant, with smooth lines and a playful touch. It uses colours such as yellow, red, purple, and blue, which exude a strong Chinese storytelling vibe. The prominent red background with the ink-brushed character "福" (meaning "fortune" or "blessing") catches the eye.
