This summer, July 7-Jul 28, YouGo offers an intimate experience at Stanford University. For 21 days, our select participants (age 12-18) will live on campus, learn from Nobel Prize winning faculty, be mentored by Olympic caliber scholar athletes, visit leaders of technology and innovation in the Silicon Valley and work with Stanford's admissions office on their futures! 



Founded by All-Ivy League Harvard quarterback and scholar athlete, and together with the Stanford University community, we have a deep understanding of leadership and teamwork fundamentals, as well as the core values that drive overall success. YouGo's enrichment curriculum is based on leadership and team values. Through daily lessons and team sports and activities, our goal is to prepare the next leaders of the world for next generation society, help them take initiative and make each day their masterpiece!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS



Where will the students be staying?

Students will be staying on campus at Stanford University, in Wilbur Hall residences.


How many students to share a room?

2 same gender students will be assigned to a room, at random or based on requests.


Do students sleep on bunk beds?

No, there are no bunk beds, each room has 2 beds, 2 desks, 2 chairs and 2 wardrobes.

           

Is there kitchen in each room?

No kitchen in each room but there is a shared kitchen in the common area of the residence.


What is their meal arrangements?

3 meals a day prepared by Stanford dining. Occasionally there will be outings, whereby pack lunches will be prepared, or the group will eat out in restaurants appropriate for the group.

Do they need to bring amenities?

Yes, some personal items will be needed, YouGo will provide a list of what to pack after signed up. Also, there are convenience stores on campus walking distance from the residence if students need anything at all.  


How to travel from SFO airport to Stanford?

YouGo will have instructors / mentors at airport for pickups. Contact number will be passed on to students in advance.


How do they call home / access internet?

There is recommended call home time throughout the week and students can call home by their own phone, using WeChat or other Voice/IP services used on computers. Students are recommended to buy an international/ US sim card from the local airport prior from departing home town. Buying a sim card from SFO airport cost around US$100 for a 3-week usage. There is Wi-Fi throughout Stanford campus as well.

What types of activities do you offer beyond the weekly campus schedule?

During the weekends, we will be visiting Silicon Valley technology and innovative companies,

participating in charity works, watching famous sports games at the arenas and of course sightseeing beautiful local attractions in Bay Area, California.


What do they do in their free time?
Personal time can be used to rest, stay in touch with family and friends back at home or if there is summer homework given by school, students can bring along and work on them during free time (SAT/ACT/TOEFL). Our Stanford students camp mentors are happy to help if any questions.


Can students join or leave the camp on a different date?

Yes. YouGo Camp starts 7 July – July 28 but if students have other summer commitments, feel free to discuss with us upon sign-up, and we will accommodate on a case by case basis.


Does the US$6500 include flights?

No. YouGo fees does not include flight tickets.

Can parents come along?

Parents cannot stay within the campus or attend student activities; however, we can recommend nearby hotel if parents would like to pick-up / drop-off students in person.
