What is Recycled Fashion 

环保时尚秀 简介

Recycled fashion is a fashion show organized and carried out by the students of the Beijing World Youth Academy. 

Items of clothing that will be put on carefully picked models will be designed and created by the students of BWYA with limited outside help. These fine attires will be created using recycled materials, pieces of fabric, and used clothing donated by the students of BWYA and Beijing One Heart Sphere Charity Foundation, which is a organization we are working with.

　　环保时尚秀是北京世青国际学校本校学生组织的时装T台秀。

　　秀场上所有的衣服都是学生们自己设计并且制作而成的，并会由精心挑选的模特来向观众展示。衣服全部都是由捐给我们的环保或二次利用的布料制作而成的。

The Cause of the project / 环保时装秀 目的简介

They’re aiming help those Tibetan community to explore their cultural artistry of weaving and clothes making and develop their skills by sending out materials, sewing machines, teaching team and volunteers, which us, the Recycled Fashion Team, will provide the funds for this very project. All of the profit made from the Recycled Fashion Show will go to that far and mystical land of Tibet, it is our honor to host this Fashion show for those who are in need.

　　我们的环保时装秀所要帮助的慈善项目是GEI（全球环境研究所）在青海的一个项目。这个项目是为了促进青海久治县隆格村传统工艺产业，为他们简陋的手工作坊添加基本的设备和工具，比如缝纫机，裁布刀、钢尺、分类收纳柜等（住在城市中的我们比较幸运，生活在淘宝便利，物流快捷的，哪怕不包邮，一周内货物也能送到的地方。但是牧民们生活的草原，交通十分不便，缝纫机上一个零件坏了，想换都没得换，扔了就变成了草原上的垃圾，所以我们为合作社添置质量杠杠的设备）。促进手工产业的原因是因为村落周边的三江源保护区需要进行生态保护，导致传统上以收集保护区内的虫草药等为生的藏民们失去收入来源。

　　为了帮助因为保护自然环境而失去原本收入来源的藏民们维持生计，我们这个环保时装秀将用时装秀赚的钱全部捐给这个为了环境和为了当地藏族人民的慈善项目。希望大家如果有一颗善良的心，会来观看我们的时装秀。
