An inside look at North Korea business and entrepreneurship

For most business people, North Korea is the last country they would consider doing business with. But not all sectors are under sanction, and a small group of Western and local entrepreneurs have spotted some opportunities. Not only that, but they believe doing business is the best way to promote positive change in the country.

North Korea does not publish economic data, though South Korea's central bank said last year the North's economy grew by 1% in 2014. The estimate did not include gray market economic activity, which has grown steadily in recent years and created an expanding consumer class.
