Day 1
Shanghai-Hohhot
08:30 - 11:15: Flight from Pudong Airport to Hohhot
13:00 - 14:30: Visit Yanshou Temple
Yanshou Temple is the largest temple in Hohhot. It was built from 1567 to 1619, during the Ming Dynasty.
15:30 - 16:30: Visit Mengniu, the largest dairy industrial center in China. Mengniu is China’s largest dairy company. On a guided tour, you’ll have a factory tour and see the inner workings of the Chinese dairy industry.
17:30 - 20:00: Walk around downtown and taste local cuisine

The tour guide will help you find the location of these recommended restaurants:
1. 铁锅一居( Iron Pot Restaurant )
We recommend you try 铁锅闷面 (iron pot noodle) and 西北凉皮 (spicy steamed cold noodles).
2. 西贝莜面村 ( Xibei Noodle Village)

Day 2 
Hohhot - Xilamuren Prairie
09:00 - 10:30: Visit the Mongolia Museum
The Mongolia Museum will teach you the history of the prairie culture. Later when you visit the Xilamuren Prairie, you’ll have a deeper understanding of the unique local customs.
10:30 - 15:30: 2-hour bus trip to the Xilamuren Prairie
You will pass by the Yin Mountains and Wuchuan, reaching the prairie around noon. The local Mongolians will welcome you with local wine. After that you will have at least 2 hours to enjoy the prairie. You can visit the herdsman camps, enjoy Mongolian performances, horse riding or taste prairie lamb leg.
15:30 - 19:00: 2.5 hours bus to Baotou, and check into hotel after dinner

Day 3
Baotou - Kubuqi Desert
09:00 - 14:30: 1.5 hours bus to the Xiang Sha Wan, the “Resonant Sand Bay” of the Kubuqi Desert
Xiang Sha Wan a natural 90-meter sand hill, shaped like a crescent moon. When the weather is dry, the sand sings, a unique natural phenomenon. As the sand slides down the hill, it sounds like the croak of a frog or small drum. The noises can be as loud as a plane is taking off. This is definitely an experience that you won’t forget. You can also enjoy the cable car, camel herds, and a Mongolian Chorus in Xiang Sha Wan.
17:00: Check-in the Sand Resort
You will enjoy the breathtaking view in the hotel swimming pool. After dinner, you can join the resort’s famous Mongolian performances.

Day 4
Erdos - Hohhot
09:00 - 12:30: 1.5 hours bus from Erdos to Kangbashi
There are 17 theme parks in Kangbashi. Take your time to visit the parks in the morning.
14:30 - 18:30: 4 hour bus to Hohhot
Enjoy the Mongolian dinner and check in the hotel.

Day 5 
Hohhot - Shanghai
12:00 - 14:30: Flight from Hohhot to Shanghai
