KD is from California, USA. He grew up with a lot of latinos, where he was exposed to Merengue dance during his Freshman high school. He has been dancing Merengue for 10+ years. People refer to him as "Rico Suave" because of his smooth and amazing dancing skills. He has the natural flow and the dominican style.
