ABOUT THE SPEAKER


Yanyan Gong joined SVB VCIM in January 2015 with more than 18 years’ experience cross global investment banking, trading and venture investments.  As Managing Director of SVB VCIM, she is responsible for the firm’s FoF and direct investments, as well as fund operations and team management.  

Previously, Yanyan worked as partners for VantagePoint Capital Partners and China Growth Capital, focusing on early stage internet, industry technology and financial technology in Greater China.  Prior to VPCP, she worked as an investment banker with Deutsche Bank Hong Kong Branch for 7 years, leading cross border landmark deals in FIG and manufacturing sectors, as well as IPOs and follow-ons in the US and Hong Kong.  Prior to Deutsche Bank, Yanyan was a fixed income manager at Bosera Fund Management, managing the firm’s RMB2bn fixed income portfolio.  

Yanyan holds a MBA from Harvard Business School, a Master from the Graduate School of People’s Bank of China(PBC School of Finance, Qsinghua University), and a Bachelor from Guanghua School of Management, Peking University.  She is a CFA charter holder, and is qualified for CPA title in China.
