BWYA Traditional Chinese Culture Fair will take place in the primary school campus on March 16th, 2019 from 10:00 to 13:00. This will be the first Chinese culture centered fair in BWYA history. There will be many kinds of traditional food, traditional customs such as paper cutting, knot tying, calligraphy etc for the student to experience, and many traditional games for students of all ages to enjoy. During the fair, there will also be a lot of performances by BWYA students, dress up competition that we wish every participant to participate, and Chinese poetry competitions. All the profit earned in this event will be donated to the Free Lunch project in order to pay for 1200 free meals for underprivileged children in Western China.
This is a BWYA student initiated event supported by the school
Dress code:
- dress up in an iconic costume representing Chinese culture of the 20th century
- dress up in the costume of a Chinese dynasty
- dress up in the costume of a specific Chinese ethnicity
During the festival, there will be a dress-up competition. Participants who came in costumes will automatically enter the competition. Participants who win the competition will receive a special award.
