ISCMS TENTH ANNIVERSARY GALA CONCERT

DCB are hosting the tenth anniversary festival of the International Schools’ Choral Music Society – three days of intense music making for over 325 students from international schools around Asia culminating in a spectacular Gala Concert at the Forbidden City Concert Hall. 

This year, the ISCMS Orchestra will be conducted by Robert Hasty – a renowned conductor from Chicago. The ISCMS Chorus will be conducted by Richard Gill, one of Australia’s most important choir directors, and the ISCMS Big Band will be led by exuberant, world-renowned Trumpeter Mike Vax. Two-time Grammy Award Winning Composer Christopher Tin has written a piece especially for the Festival – and will be working with the Choir and Orchestra in the World Premiere at the Gala Concert.

由北京德威英国国际学校承办的第十届ISCMS国际学校音乐节将于2017年2月15-18日在北京举行。来自亚洲各国际学校的325名学生将参加这一历时四天的音乐盛会。作为音乐节高潮的十周年庆典音乐会将于2月18日晚七点在中山公园音乐堂隆重举行。

今年，ISCMS管弦乐队将由享誉乐坛的来自芝加哥的著名指挥家Robert Hasty指挥，ISCMS合唱团将由澳大利亚最著名的合唱团指挥之一Richard Gill执棒，而ISCMS Big Band乐队则将由极富激情的世界知名小号手Mike Vax领衔出演。两届格莱美获奖作曲家Christopher Tin特为本届音乐节精心创作了一首曲目－《人行道上的小鸟》，并将在音乐会上与合唱团和管弦乐队联袂献上这首曲目的世界首演。
