Hua Mulan – Performance of the Year by DCB Chinese Department

Welcome to enjoy this modern adaptation of famous Chinese folk tale directed and performed by more than 50 DCB teachers and students.

Hua Mulan (Chinese: 花木兰) is a legendary woman warrior from the Southern and Northern Dynasties period (420–589) of Chinese history. As a daughter of aged warrior, she impersonates a man to take her father's place during a general conscription to counter foreign invasion. Over time, the story of Hua Mulan rose in popularity as a Chinese folk tale.
