Beijing Blitz: 10-Minute Play Festival

Please note: The festival runs longer than a typical show, with audience voting held after the final play. Drinks will be available for purchase throughout the event.

Earlier this summer, Middle Kingdom Creatives invited playwrights from across China to submit original 10-minute plays. After careful review by our Reading Panel, twelve standout works were selected—and now they’ll be brought to life onstage in a single afternoon of rapid-fire theatre.

Expect an exciting mix of comedy, drama, and surprise as Beijing’s vibrant theatre community showcases bold new voices and fresh stories. After the performances, awards will be presented, and the audience will cast their votes for the coveted People’s Choice Award.
