The long Beijing winter has finally come to an end and spring is here! So this month's Vegan Outreach Event will be an outdoor lunch at Palms L.A. Kitchen and Bar's Liangmaqiao location. They have agreed to open on a Sunday for this special one-off occasion.

(The event will be moved inside in case of poor air quality or rain).

About Palms L.A. Kitchen and Bar:

The concept of Palms L.A. Kitchen and Bar was born from the owners’ youth on the U.S. West Coast. For Chinese (and many Americans), California represents a place where time seems to stand still and the warmth of long summer days beckons. Likewise, Los Angeles is synonymous with sunshine, casual living, and diversity … an age-defying place where it’s never too late to reinvent yourself or try something new. Palms attempts to bring the relaxed-yet-sophisticated, youthful and eclectic vibe of the Los Angeles dining experience to China.

The unique fusion gastronomy of Los Angeles remains relatively unknown outside of the city; it stems from the diversity and culture of creativity of America’s second city, as well as its endless supply of fresh, local ingredients. Food truck culture, which thrives in Los Angeles, deserves particular mention as the cradle of Mexican-Korean fusion, and which is now the foundation of the Palms menu.

Mexican-Korean fusion brings together the flavours of Korean barbecue and Mexican street food. Palms uses traditional Korean marinades, Mexican spices and seasonings, and premium natural meats. Palms also makes almost everything from scratch in small batches and believes in making natural, whole foods that taste amazing.

In addition to food, its bar serves up original cocktails found nowhere else, as well as expertly-prepared classic drinks and a range of premium and rare pours, including mezcals and tequilas, and California wines.

Our Mission:

The goal of the Vegan Outreach dinners is to help western restaurants in Beijing become more vegan-friendly, as well as provide a familiar venue that vegans & vegetarians can invite their non-veggie friends to show them how easy and accessible switching to a plant-based diet can be. Afterwards, the restaurant will update its menu with new items and labels so that plant-based ordering in the future will be easy for all!
