The British Chamber of Commerce Shanghai (BritCham Shanghai) is a vibrant network of international businesses with a shared interest in China, particularly across the East China region. Since our founding in 1915, we have grown into one of the most established and respected international business organisations in China.
2025 marks a significant milestone for the Chamber as we celebrate our 110th anniversary. While the Chamber’s main team based in Shanghai, our reach now extends across the East China region, including through our Hangzhou office, serving our growing community of over 280 member organisations.
We deliver value through three core pillars: advocacy, knowledge sharing, and community activities. We promote best practices, share professional expertise, and build long-lasting trust and friendships with our members.
BritCham Shanghai organises over 180 events and meetings each year, covering policy briefings, industry trends, government-business roundtables, panel discussions, company visits, and research dialogues. We also celebrate business excellence through initiatives such as the British Business Awards and the Sustainability & Innovation Awards, which spotlight outstanding UK enterprises in China.

This year marks BritCham Shanghai’s 110th Anniversary, and we’re bringing together two of our most loved events — British Day and Sports Day — into the biggest community festival in our history.
