The China-Britain Business Council invites you to join our briefing on the upcoming Two Sessions at 17:00 (China time)/09:00 (UK time) on Monday, 18 March 2024.
This link is for non-members registration only to join the webinar online via Zoom.
The National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) will kick off on 4th March and the National People's Congress (NPC) will kick off on 5th March in Beijing.
During this year’s highly anticipated two sessions, which is widely considered as China's biggest and most important annual political event, will focus on China's socioeconomic achievements and developments. We are expected to understand 2024 China's annual economic development and priorities, the growth target, and macroeconomic policies. The latest government work report will be released. Following a challenging 2023, it is widely expected that new expansionary policies and measures will be introduced to promote national economic growth, stimulate domestic market demand, and stabilise international trade and investment.
CBBC has invited a panel of leading experts to share their insights on this year’s two sessions, including John Liu, Executive Editor, Greater China Region, Bloomberg, Yue Su, Principal Economist, Economist Intelligence Unit and Chucheng Feng, Partner and Co-founder, Plenum. Our panel will discuss the outcomes from this year’s Two Sessions and provide analysis on the political and economic implications for UK business.
