Spittoon Literary Magazine presents a reading and discussion of literature and writing in contemporary China. The event will feature two young Chinese writers — fiction writer, Suo Er 索耳 and poet, Ye Mei 叶美 — with their English-language translators. There will be readings of Chinese poetry and fiction in the original Chinese as well as their English translations, followed by a discussion about contemporary Chinese literature and translation. Moderated by Spittoon Literary Magazine’s Editor in Chief, Simon Shieh.
