UCL北京校友会和51Give

The UCL Club of Beijing exists to serve the UCL community in China, particularly that in and around Beijing. We believe that we are the longest standing and most well established club in Beijing. The Club is officially recognised by the University College London.

We have a large and active community of over 400 members, both Chinese and non Chinese, from all ages and walks of life. Our official language is English, as this is a guaranteed common language arising from our common educational experience.

Whilst the Club is primarily aimed at alumni, current students are welcome to join as student members, and those who have held teaching posts at UCL are also welcome. Honorary membership exists for those of outstanding contribution to the University or UCLCB. More details of membership criteria are in the Constitution.

The Club holds at least one event every year in addition to the regular pub meetup. Most of these are advance registration only (with the exception of the pub meetup) so that we have an idea of numbers. Event details are sent out on the start of each year via our regular newsletter, and updated to our Wechat and Linkedin groups.

The charity fund raising activities: Raise charitable donations for the kids at the Angel’s Home.

活动地点：北京市顺义区牛栏山镇蓝家营村

Activity place: Lanjiaying Village, Niulanshan Town, Shunyi District, Beijing

活动集合时间：2017年6月17日上午8点

活动集合地点：北京市朝阳区新源南路1-3号平安国际金融中心A座一楼大厅

Place of assembly: Lobby of Tower A, Ping An International Finance Centre NO.1-3 Xinyuan South Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing

活动参与者：UCL北京校友会志愿者代表和51Give志愿者代表

Activity participants: Volunteers from UCL Club of Beijing and 51Give

活动目标：为天使之家的孩子们筹集不少于五千元人民币的善款或等值物品。这是UCL北京校友会2017年第一次组织慈善活动，希望校友们踊跃参加！同时，51Give也会为天使之家的孩子们捐赠适量的善款和物品。

Activity target: Raise charitable donations no less than 5,000RMB or or in the form of purchasing equivalent items for the kids at the Angel’s Home. This is the first charity activity by UCL Club of Beijing in 2017, hope more alumni will participate in the activity. Meanwhile, 51Give will also donate in cash or in the form of purchasing equivalent items for the kids ah the Angel’s Home.

捐助方式：

一，直接捐助现金。捐款通过友付平台进行，捐款成功后，捐赠者会收到UCL北京校友会和51Give发出的感谢信。因为款项作为慈善用途，友付平台会相应减免服务费，减免后收取1%的服务费，该费用将由捐款人承担。

二，采购天使之家所需物品，带去送给天使之家的孩子们。所需物品请参考http://www.angelhome.org/27/show.aspx

最终捐助方式将根据最终筹得善款总额进行调整。

The charity fund raising methods:

1, Direct cash donation via Yoopay. Every warm hearted donator will receive a thank-you note from the UCL Club of Beijing and 51Give! Due to the charitable purpose of the donation, Yoopay payment platform will decrease its service charges by 1%, which will be borne by donators.

2, Purchasing relevant items in need listed on the Angel’s Home's website. Please refer to: http://www.angelhome.org/27/show.aspx

The final methods will be adjusted according to the total amount of donations raised.

天使之家的孩子们以零到五岁患病孩童为主，除了捐款捐物之外，志愿者们可以给孩子们讲故事书，教孩子们唱儿歌，带孩子们玩儿玩具。希望志愿者们和孩子们度过一段愉快有爱的时光。

Kids at the Angel’s Home are mainly from zero to five years old with sickness. In addition to making donations, volunteers can tell the kids stories, teach them to sing nursery rhymes, and play with toys together with the kids. Wish the volunteers and kinds a happy and loving time together.
