THE BULK HOUSE是中国首家致力于倡导零浪费生活的社会企业。
Carrie Yu（余元），创始人，最早于2016年夏天开始她的零浪费之旅。在2017年年初，Carrie注册了THE BULK HOUSE，并开始在微信上建立零浪费的讨论群，举办堆肥工作坊，在官方工作号上面发布文章，以及在北京地区的舞台、广播、杂志上谈论自己对零浪费的看法，也举办了许多场闲置二手物交换活动。在2017年8月，Carrie辞掉了自己的工作开始全职创业。
在2017年12月，THE BULK HOUSE邀请了Bea Johnson（零浪费运动的发起人）来北京三里屯做了一次分享，所有门票提前全部售罄。
接着在2018年2月4日，THE BULK HOUSE开办了中国大陆第一家零浪费商店。
2018年将会是零浪费非常重要的一年，也将是THE BULK HOUSE精彩的一年。
零浪费是一种在日常生活中不制造出任何垃圾，无限趋于为零，换言之就是不将任何对环境有害的垃圾送往的垃圾填埋场、焚烧炉或海洋。

THE BULK HOUSE is the 1st social enterprise in China focusing on zero waste.
Carrie Yu, the founder, started her zero waste journey in the summer of 2016. At the beginning of 2017, Carrie registered THE BULK HOUSE, started some group chats on WeChat about Zero Waste, held a composting workshop, typed up some posts on the Official WeChat Account, chatted about her journey towards zero waste on some stages around Beijing, on radio shows, in magazines, held a number of Reduce to Relive events (they are swap events for all sorts of items) and then, in August 2017, thought "That's it! I'm done with my normal job, I'm going full-time with this Zero Waste mission" and so, she did!
In December 2017, THE BULK HOUSE invited Bea Johnson (the found of the Zero Waste movement) to Beijing to give a talk. It was a sold out event in Sanlitun.
Then in January 2018, THE BULK HOUSE opened mainland China's 1st zero waste store with a soft opening party taking place on Sunday 4th February inside the store where it is located at the 258 Electric World.
2018 is going to be a big year for zero waste and THE BULK HOUSE!
Zero Waste is the concept of not producing any trash that could or will end up in landfills, incinerators or oceans. It can be done!

对于任何参加过去年11月份在东直门外举办的零浪费概念日的人来说，我们这次的活动将会更加盛大和热闹！
这一天我们将有以下的所有！
我们将以瑜伽开场。当瑜伽把每个人都活动开后，跳蚤市场将会开始，与此同时你也将看到大量出现在北京各集市的摊主。那里将会有食物、饮料和音乐。（当然，还会有舞蹈！）
所有人都可以免费参加！
活动全天还将会有工作坊，参加者需提前购票，有意者可以通过我们的YooPay（友付）链接报名参加。工作坊将包括：DIY护肤品自制工作坊、修理工作坊、堆肥工作坊等。
我们还将会有一两部环保记录片放映，以及来自在北京从事环保事业的分享者的精彩演讲。告诉你的朋友，你朋友的朋友以及你不知道的其他人来参加吧！记住，陌生人只是你还没见过面的朋友。
全天将会以有利于我们美丽地球的活动为中心！

For anyone who attended the Zero Waste Concept Day in November (last year) at Dongzhimen wai, imagine that and x 10 + 88 and then think of the biggest number you can think of and do that to the power of whatever number you have calculated after x 10 and adding 88! That's right, now you are picturing the scale of this zero waste event.
This day will have it all!
We will start the day with yoga. As the yoga session is limbering everyone up for the day ahead of them, the flea market will have kicked off around the people bending and stretching and at the same time there will be a whole other range of vendors who you are very likely to know from around Beijing's market scene. There will be food, there will be drink, there will be workshops, talks and there will be music playing in the courtyard of the beautiful venue.
It is free entry for ALL to attend.
The event will have workshops taking place throughout the day, these will be ticketed and you can sign up for these through our YooPay link.
Workshops will include:
- Yoga
- Kids Environmental Gardening workshop
- DIY skincare workshop
- Composting workshop
Talks will include:
- TALK: Zero Waste: From Underdogs to Frontline Warriors
- TALK: How to Live a Zero Waste Lifestyle!
We will also have a documentary screening
