SSA (Beijing)
Singapore Students’ Association (Beijing) is the official non-profit support organisation for all Singaporean students in Beijing, capital of China and one of the most populous (therefore happening) cities of the world. We were founded in 2002 and had grown in both size and events ever since. Our members are mainly full-time undergraduate and graduate students attending universities in Beijing, as well as students who are here on university exchange programmes and language programs.
National Youth Council
The National Youth Council (NYC) was set up by the Singapore Government on 1 November 1989 as the national co-ordinating body for youth affairs in Singapore and the focal point of international youth affairs. On 1 January 2015, NYC began its operations as an autonomous agency under the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) and housed two key institutions: Outward Bound Singapore (OBS) and Youth Corps Singapore. Together, the agency will drive youth development and broaden outreach to young Singaporeans and youth sector organisations.

About the e-Forum Series
The COVID-19 pandemic presents a volatile and uncertain future as the situation continues to escalate. In light of the multitude and velocity of changes observed in different facets of society, OSG, Singapore Students' Association (Beijing) and Fudan University Singapore Students Association (FUSSA) have jointly organised an online forum series ‘Overcoming COVID-19: Singapore's Strategy to Survive and Thrive in the New Normal’ to address the issues at hand.
This forum series aims to provide local/overseas Singaporean students and working professionals with unique insights and practical advice from various stakeholders regarding the COVID-19 situation, as well as to serve as a platform for discussion.
Theme
The theme for the third and final forum in this series is 'The New Normal: Strengthening Our Social Fabric with Ground-Up Initiatives'.
As Minister Grace Fu recently pointed out, COVID-19 has stressed social fault lines in Singapore. The urgency of our task to strengthen our social fabric calls for Singaporean youths to participate more actively in civil society.
We aim to 1) raise awareness on how our social service sector is helping the vulnerable groups in our society during this pandemic, 2) provide useful information regarding volunteering opportunities and 3) encourage young Singaporeans to participate in the relevant volunteering activities that they are interested in.
Our session will feature the following distinguished speakers:
100 seats available. Sign up now!
Feel free to submit questions to our speakers via the following google form link: https://tinyurl.com/covidgroundup OR our official email at: overcomingcovid19forum@gmail.com!
