1 day workshop (26/27 Nov. 2019)

“I am OK, you are OK!”
Understanding the psychology of human interaction with the simple Parent-Adult-Child Egostate model of Transactional Analysis

Why do we react the way we do? Which behavior typically triggers which reaction? How can I contribute to create more constructiveness in relations and communication? How can I protect myself or free myself from unhealthy relationships or psycho games?

Transactional Analysis (TA) was developed by the Canadian Psychiatrist Eric Berne and is a simple but extremely powerful model to identify and analyze the complex way how people interact with each other. TA’s basic assumption is that we have three different internal ego states (Parent, Adult and Child) through which we communicate internally with ourselves and externally with others. This is observable and not hypothetical.

The concept is mind blowing because it enables people to turn around destructive relationships, conversations and inner dialogue into a more constructive interaction.

It means to become aware and conscious with regards to our behavior under different circumstances and make a change to become responsible adults with more balanced reactions.

Participants of this 1 day workshop can expect to learn the following:

Learn how to differentiate between parent, adult and child ego states
Experience in role plays which ego states provoke which behavior/ reaction
Understand the importance of the basic attitude "I am OK, you are OK"
Draw their own Egogram/ Psychogram and become aware how to bring more healthy balance into their reaction pattern portfolio and inner dialogue
Learn about their inner drivers and how important it is to move from survival mode and autopilot to “living as an adult that takes responsibility”
Understand how own behavior can counter balance destructive behavior from others
