The Talk: Adam will speak on the topic of "Chinese Revolutions and Family History", which will cover four generations of history in China and the political events going on around them. This talk will be a fully illustrated presentation with period photos.

Writer, speaker, businessman and novelist Adam Williams is the author of three acclaimed historical novels about China – The Palace of Heavenly PleasureThe Emperor’s Bones and The Dragon’s Tail – and in 2009 he published a novel about the Spanish Civil War – The Book of the Alchemist

Twenty eight years a businessman and banker in Beijing, he is the fourth generation of his family to be living and working in China.

Adam is published in fifteen languages, most recently in Chinese. The Mandarin version of The Emperor’s Bones was the No 1 Bestseller in the New Novels Category of Dang Dang Wang, China’s largest on line bookstore and has received high critical acclaim in all China’s main newspapers and literary magazines. Adam will also be bringing copies of some of his books (in Egnlish and Chinese) to the talk. 


Attendance at this event is free, but please register so that we can gauge numbers.
