July's Charity of Choice: Rally for Roots & Shoots

Founded by UN Messenger of Peace, Dr. Jane Goodall, Roots & Shoots educates young people to create a greener future that benefits the environment, animals and our communities.

Our goal is to change students’ values, attitudes and behaviors by focusing on influencing the government to improve current school
curricula. The proceeds support our current school programs as well as our long-term projects on environmental education.

A message from Jonas Lind, Project Coordinator of Roots & Shoots:

The donations and proceeds we receive go directly to our work with environmental education projects throughout China. With 800+ school groups in primary school thru university across the country, we have been able to reach hundreds of thousands of students through our programs, which include projects such as Organic Grow, migrant schools education, the No Shark Fin Campaign, the anti-ivory trade campaign, and many, many other projects that enable students to think and take action to improve the environment in their own communities as well as nationally.
