U.S.-China Business Talk with Columbia Alumnus Chris Millward of USITO 

U.S. companies were a driving force in ushering in the global IT revolution, but success in China isn't a given. Chinese competitors have emerged to challenge for market dominance, while regulatory challenges have slowed the progress of even the most innovative players. How do U.S. companies view the Chinese information communication technology (ICT) market and what kinds of policy approaches do they recommend to foster competition and innovation? Join us for a talk and discussion with alumnus Christopher Millward (CC 90), President and Managing Director of the United States Information Technology Office, an independent, non-profit trade association that represents the U.S. information communication technology (ICT) industry in China, including individual companies and U.S.-based trade associations. Chris will update on recent developments in the ICT market in China from the perspective of those on the other side of the Pacific and will take questions. Networking follows.

Building 5 is located in the southeast corner of Sanlitun SOHO, right next to Topwin Center. Space is limited and walk-ins must contact the organizer in advance to confirm space.
