Join us for a curry night to raise money for children in conflict. From education and play areas, to fighting for justice, Warchild helps children in war zones overcome their experiences and build a brighter future. With winter coming, and hundreds of thousands of children caught in warzones, it has never been more vital to help.
This event is in memory of Sardar Ahmad. Three years ago AFP reporter Sardar was killed along with his wife and two small children. Taliban gunmen shot his five-year-old son Omar and six-year-old daughter Nilofar, but Abuzar who was only two years old at the time survved five gunshot wounds and was able to emigrate to Canada.
Millions of Afghans, Syrian, Iraqi and other children in conflict are not so lucky. There is no international network of journalists to raise an outcry over what happened to them and arrange a swift evacuation to another country. But the charity WarChild works with children from all of these countries to help them build a better life. Please join us to raise a glass to Sardar's memory, and help children in dire need.
