2019 World Manufacturing Convention Hefei – Sept 20-23

SUMMARY

Once a year from 2018, World Manufacturing Convention takes place in Hefei.  This year, IntCham Hefei is officially a co-organizers of the convention as relate to extending invitations to the overseas chambers community.  This will be an excellent opportunity for members of participating chambers to engage with its peers and the latest developments and trends in manufacturing.  The convention will bring together around 2,000 participants from international and Chinese manufacturing corporations. This will include both large corporate but also many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The convention organizers expect more than 200 Fortune 500 companies and other advanced foreign manufacturers to attend. There will be matchmaking support for all attendees. Senior officials from the central government, Anhui provincial government and experts from major Chinese and international academic centers of excellence will also attend.  It includes three-day 12 forums in major areas of manufacturing and technology and ten exhibition areas which will feature today’s most advance technology in manufacturing.

FULL DESCRIPTION OF CONFERENCE

The World Manufacturing Convention 2019, approved by the State Council, is scheduled to be held in Hefei, the capital city of Anhui Province, from September 20th to 23rd.

The convention is co-sponsored by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Commerce, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, Chinese Academy of Engineering,  All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, United Nations Industrial Development Organization, Global Alliance of Small and Medium Enterprises and the People’s Government of Anhui Province. Themed with“Toward a New Era of Manufacturing Industry with Innovation and Entrepreneurship – Joining hands with Global SMEs for a better Future of Intelligent Manufacturing with High-quality Development”, this convention adheres to the new development concept, promotes high-quality development, and focuses on advanced manufacturing technologies，new organizational forms and new industrial clusters, thus promoting the “Belt and Road Initiative", deepening the implementation of the Yangtze River Delta integration development strategy, facilitating the rise of the central China while sharing opportunities, seeking common development and win-win cooperation. It is to build a global manufacturing event with international influence.

These exhibition areas will focus on the highlights and characteristics of current international and Chinese intelligent manufacturing, as well as a number of new achievements, new ideas and new breakthroughs in the development of manufacturing industry in Yangtze River Delta.

The convention will invite manufacturing authorities both at home and abroad and competent industrial ministries, including Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China. Some authoritative information in the manufacturing field both at home and abroad will be released during the convention in an effort to build an authoritative brand in the manufacturing industry.
