The goal of running a marathon on all seven continents is an extraordinary feat attempted by extraordinary people in their pursuit of self-discovery.    

Eric Xin (阿信）is one such individual.

As one of the founding members of CITIC Capital Partners, he currently leads the flagship China Buyout Funds with over US$1.5 billion under management. Mr. Xin has led the team execute many landmark private equity transactions in China, such as Privatization of Focus Media and Asia Info, investment in Shunfeng Express and China Cinda Etc. Besides making investments, Eric is also an enthusiastic runner. He has run over 30 marathons and ultra-marathons in all seven continents in the past three years. Notably, he has just finished the Antarctica Ice Marathon on Nov. 19, 2015 as his seventh continent marathon.

About Eric Xin (阿信)

Eric Xin is a multi-marathon runner and founding member of CITIC Capital Partners. He currently leads the flagship China Buyout Funds with over US$1.5 billions under his management. He has run over 30 marathons and ultra-marathons in all seven contients in the past three years. He graduated from Peking University with BA in International Economics and is from MBA class 1999 of Harvard Business School. Eric lives in Hong Kong with his wife and five children.
