Workshop| What Color is your rainbow?

What is the most important adventure of our lives? The adventure of discovering who we really are. Yet, so many of us walk around with the wrong ideas about ourselves. We mistakenly think of self-understanding as self-indulgence, and we carry on without asking the most important question we’ll ever ask: Who am I really? As Mary Oliver put it, “what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”

Finding yourself may sound like an inherently self-centered goal, but it is actually an unselfish process that is at the root of everything we do in life. In order to be the most valuable person to the world around us, the best partner, parent etc, we have to first know who we are, what we value and, in effect, what we have to offer.

How can we expect to communicate needs and wants in your personal/professional life when we don’t know who you are, strengths, stressors, communication style, or why you think and act the way that we do? Self-love will enable one to face his or her own reflection without fearing self-discovery. Misunderstanding with others is usually rooted in miscommunication through lack of understanding. We find ourselves dissatisfied with ourselves, others, underwhelmed, over-worked, & under-paid in careers and on a life journey that isn’t aligned with who we are.

Communication is the key to healthy personal and professional relationships. Developing the ability to communicate with the self first and interpersonal communication skills is a necessary life skill to have to enhance the quality of your life and reach your goals. We MUST seek FIRST to understand ourselves BEFORE we seek to be understood by others, which directly translates into how successful we can be when operating in our purpose.

We invite you to the workshop “What Color is your rainbow?”, Where participants can:

1.  Gain the knowledge of the characteristics of their dominate personality type for self-understanding

2.  Gain the knowledge of the characteristics of the four colors of personalities for understanding others through interactive group brainstorming

3.  Learn how to communicate and respond to personalities different than your own through an interactive problem solving activity
