In the digital era, our thoughts are often interrupted by the seemingly endless alerts coming from our phones.

Would you like to experience a peaceful way of writing a letter with beautiful handwriting? Join us to explore the differing cultures of the East and the West. Immerse yourselves in the charm of calligraphy by putting your pen on the paper and writing a letter home. The result is usually inspiring and surprising. There are various cultural stories hidden in those black characters. Prepare to witness how the pen point connects western and eastern culture.

At the end of the activity, we will provide exquisite envelopes and seals for everyone. Please write down the correct address. We will post it on your behalf.

Your Host

Nigel is a science teacher who has been teaching biology and chemistry in Beijing for 3 years. He was born in Burma and lived in the UK from a very young age, graduating with a masters in chemistry from the university of Sheffield in 2011. In his spare time he trains Muay Thai classes and studies Chinese, having passed his HSK4 this February

跨文化项目是四合书院在传统文化课程外，尝试打造的另一颗“文化的种子”，以体现我们的使命：“助力青少年成长为熟悉并热爱本土文化、尊重并欣赏其他文化的世界公民”。跨文化交流不仅仅是增加彼此文化的了解，更重要的是促进学习尊重、进而欣赏彼此的差异。这类对话活动旨在提高孩子的口语表达能力与英语自信，并且通过信息的分享与交流来帮助孩子形成英语逻辑思维，提高分析思考能力。

跨文化系列活动主要针对十岁以上有英语基础并能进行英语简单对话的孩子。欢迎家长们进群参与互动，第一时间得到活动信息。
