Eimear McBride: A Girl Is a Half-formed Thing

Irish writer Eimear McBride's first book documents the story of a young woman with an unusually complex relationship with her family. Written in disjointed language and in a stream of consciousness style, the book has been called by The New Yorker as a "blazingly original novel...fueled by fractured, adventurous language and raw emotion." A Girl has garnered critical acclaim and won numerous prizes. RMB 75
