Lower Elementary Open House

Our Open House events are designed for both prospective parents and students under 5. These events are free and inclusive, welcoming families of all nationalities, backgrounds, and cultures. Each event has a unique theme focusing on key academic elements of our programme. 

Attendees will embark on a journey through Lower Elementary School (Pre-Nuresery to Kindergarten), exploring our well-equipped classrooms, talking with teachers, and witnessing students in action in their learning environments. Based on feedback from prospective parents, we've curated these events to provide a holistic understanding of the Western International School of Shanghai's (WISS) exceptional academic programme, our safe and nurturing environment, and diverse facilities and activities.

We are thrilled to invite you to our Toddler Playgroup sessions, held every Tuesday and Thursday from 09h00 to 10h00 (except when an Open House event falls on one of those dates). 

This is a wonderful opportunity for parents and their toddlers aged 1 to 4 to come together and engage in enriching activities. These sessions are free and inclusive, welcoming families of all nationalities, backgrounds, and cultures.

By participating regularly in our Toddler Playgroup, you and your child will benefit from:

• Social Interaction: Toddlers can play and interact with other children, helping them develop essential social skills in a safe and nurturing environment.
• Early Learning: Our activities are designed to stimulate young minds, encouraging curiosity and creativity from an early age.
• Parental Support: Meet other parents, share experiences, and build a supportive community. Plus, enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while your children play.
