Following on from the success of “Chicago”, Wellington Shanghai is now presenting “The Wiz” as our Senior School Musical.
This retelling of the classic Wizard of Oz story is set to Motown music and promises to bring funk and soul to the Land of Oz. Made famous by Michael Jackson and Diana Ross who played in the movie version of the show, Wellington's pupils in years 9 through 13 have been rehearsing for months to transport you to the land of the munchkins, witches and funky monkeys. Taking you along for the ride as they “ease on down” the yellow brick road are Dorothy, Tinman, Scarecrow and Lion, watch as they confront the evil witch and ultimately meet the magical Wizard.
