ABOUT INTRO电子音乐节（2009－2016）

INTRO作为中国首个大型户外电子音乐节，自2009年至2016年，已经成功举办七届。

从INTRO 2009首次亮相，到INTRO 2011的两日万人齐舞，2013移师首钢，再到INTRO2015、2016的天下第一城；七年间,一年一度的INTRO电子音乐节克服重重困难，坚持纯粹的电音先锋特质，已经成为国内标志性户外电音盛事！参演艺术家达到两百多位，观众人次总计超过五万人，在古都北京呈现着最先锋、最现代以及最国际化的文化景观。

如果说北京是中国电子音乐文化的重镇，上海就是中国电子音乐文化一颗璀璨的明星。

上海作为国际化大都市，各种文化的交流与碰撞从未停止，风靡全球的电子音乐文化在这里也是深得人心。近几年各大音乐节纷纷移师上海，领先全国的场地及人文环境更为电子音乐节这种自带潮流属性的项目打下了良好基础。在北京发展七年的INTRO电子音乐节在上海会撞出怎样的火花？广大电音爱好者拭目以待。

INTRO Electronic Music Festival Enters Shanghai

If Beijing is seen as the center of Chinese electronic music culture, then Shanghai would be its most radiant moon.  As a historically international city, Shanghai is an important place of cultural communication and collision.  Shanghai has a strong music culture, and, in the recent years, several large music festivals have moved into and around the city.  The city also has many clubs and venues pushing forward the sound and culture of electronic music.  All of this together leads to a ripe environment for an electronic music festival.  So, after seven years of development in Beijing, what will INTRO be in Shanghai? This is what electronic music fans will have to come and see when the festival drops at the end of October.

BACK TO THE ORIGINAL／回归本质

INTRO电子音乐节诞生于北京老工业园区751 D-Park，工业时代的大型工业遗址景观与电子音乐的强劲节拍完美结合，赋予INTRO一种独有的气质。此次INTRO首次来到上海，世博公园内世博大舞台（原宝钢大舞台）的钢铁丛林让INTRO再次找到“家”的感觉！

“BACK TO THE ORIGINAL”是此次INTRO上海的主题，以此想提醒我们自己，坚持INTRO电子音乐节纯粹的音乐本质，坚持音乐节以音乐为核心的制作理念，清醒看到电子音乐在中国发展中的诸多困难，保持初心。

Back to the Original

INTRO was born in 751 D-Park, which was a former industrial area in Beijing. The metal and machinery of industrial was a perfect fit for an electronic music festival.  In Shanghai, the festival will come back to this sort of feeling with the EXPO stage (the former BAOSTEEL stage).  This environment will give INTRO a feeling of coming back to “home” in Shanghai.  As the theme of Shanghai INTRO, “Back to the Original” is a reminder to both the organizers and the attendees to keep the intention of the festival in mind.  It’s about electronic music and the appreciation of electronic music culture first and foremost.  Listen, dance and have fun.

THE VENUE／场地

上海世博公园处于城市中心区，黄浦江南岸，担负着与老城厢、外滩和陆家嘴一起，实现上海城市跨越浦江、塑造体现上海各个发展时期城市意象的功能。特别是经历过世博会之后，世博园更具“世界性”这与融合众多海外艺人的INTRO电子音乐节不谋而合，高度舒适的场地格局与与生态系统，更是让这里成为众多大型音乐节首选之地，户外音乐节场地是音乐成功与否的重要条件之一，2016年INTRO上海电子音乐节在此地的举办，将成就一次中国与世界文化的碰撞融合。

The Venue

Shanghai EXPO Park is located in the center of the city, on the North side of Huangpu River.  It shows the different eras of Shanghai’s development, both old and new.  The EXPO park, which represents the international quality of China, is especially suited to host a festival such as INTRO.
