Rapunzel—it’s more than just a fairy tale.

Children’s show for ages 6-12. An inspiring rendition of a traditional story. Beijing Playhouse’s first ever educational children’s show. (Under 5 not permitted.)

“Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair, so that I may climb the golden stair,” says the village boy to Rapunzel up in the high tower. But will Rapunzel be allowed to see him? An inspiring coming of age story that explores the changing relationship between children and their parents.

This one hour show is performed in the round with children sitting on the floor and the actors performing in the center.

Watch Rapunzel as she grows up. From birth to age 12. See how her aunt raises her and how her relationship with her aunt changes as she gets older. See how she explores life and makes new friends; like the village boy Rafi. See how Rafi helps Rapunzel discover the world around her.
