The Local, Qmex and Plant-based Beijing are sponsoring an afternoon of drinks and fun this Saturday, August 8 to help The Little Adoption Shop, a dog rescue, shelter, fostering & adoption agency here in Beijing, to raise funds and awareness for their work.

TLAS is dedicated to the rescue, care and adoption of abandoned, neglected and illegally trafficked dogs. They are currently caring for more than 600 dogs in the 3 shelters across Beijing. Just this week a tragically injured pup was left on their doorstep with spinal fractures after having just given birth. TLAS is a "No Kill" shelter, which means that she, like all of the dogs that they rescue, will not be put down. Instead, they will provide her with all necessary medical care, shelter and will then work to find her a loving home.

 

All of this amazing work costs money.

To help them out, The Local and Qmex are offering happy hour prices (including specials on some non-alcoholic drinks) to anybody who donates ¥50 from 2:00pm - 8:00pm this Saturday, August 6.

Drink up for the dogs! It's as simple and as awesome as that!

So come out and enjoy a few beverages while doing some good! Meet TLAS volunteers to learn more about what they do, mingle with fellow dog lovers, and get introduced to some of the amazing pups who are looking for loving homes!
