IPWS is proud to give you the unique event in which we look into the bias in Artificial Intelligence, hearing from a panel of experts from across industries such as Psychology, Innovation, HR and Artificial Intelligence.
As AI systems perform more and more tasks that formerly were the exclusive domain of human professionals, it is critical to design those systems in a manner that reflects the diversity of the societies in which they operate. In this “white male” dominated AI world, are we already building sexism, racism and other forms of discrimination into the machine-learning algorithms that underlie the technology behind many “intelligent” systems that shape how we are categorized and advertised to?
“There is a bias to what kinds of problems we think are important, what kinds of research we think are important, and where we think AI should go. If we don’t have diversity in our set of researchers, we are not going to address problems that are faced by the majority of people in the world… We are in a diversity crisis for AI” (Timnit Gebru, cofounder of ‘Black in AI’, for MIT Technology Review).
Our panelists will speak about the impact of AI on our daily life and the future, existing bias in the systems, human behaviors compare to machine learning and will explore how important it is to add diversity to AI.
Join us for an evening of panel discussion and networking. Reserve your spot for this special event today!
