Topics for the panel discussion will reflect the findings of last year’s report which include:
- Workplace diversity is vital as a foundation for innovation and creativity and also for recruiting and keeping the best talent
- 63% of respondents across all markets believe leaders hold a bias towards people who look, think or act like they do
- While two thirds of respondents work for organisations that set individual diversity targets for senior and line managers only nine per cent told us these targets are actively worked towards.
- Less than a third of all respondents believe people of equal ability in their organisation have equal access to career opportunity regardless of age, disability, ethnicity, gender, family commitments, marital status, race, religion or sexuality.
- Fewer employees now have a male boss. Still over half of respondents, 58%, report to a male; but this is down from 63% last year and 67% two years ago.
