  H.E. Mr. Edward Boateng

  Ambassador

  His Excellency Mr. Edward Boateng is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ghana to the People’s Republic of China, with concurrent accreditation to Mongolia and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. Prior to his diplomatic status, Amb. Boateng was an African business leader creating change predominantly through media. He worked with Turner Broadcasting and led the company’s Africa business drive. He introduced the respected annual CNN African Journalist of the Year awards and also initiated the weekly “Inside Africa” program that chronicles African stories on CNN. He was instrumental in the deregulation of media on the African continent and the development of media brands in Africa. He has worked as an advisor to many governments including the governments of President Nelson Mandela and Thabo Mbeki of South Africa, General Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria, and President John Kufuor of Ghana. He has also worked as an advisor to Senior Leadership of companies and has served as Chairman and member of several local and global boards He has received many local and international awards the latest by the Ghana Entrepreneurs Foundation as Ghana’s Most Outstanding Ambassador for the year 2018. He holds a First Degree in Economics and Law from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, an MBA from Clark-Atlanta University and a post-graduate diploma from Yale University.

  Jesus successfully registered and founded his international trade professional enterprise, a company that operates in Shanghai and Beijing. The company was put together by the young man to realize his "China Dream". His main source of inspiration is the Belt and Road Initiative, which emphasizes the relationship between China and overseas countries. His dream is to provide quality products and services to overseas countries and recommend Chinese education and culture to schools in other countries. Another project Jesus is currently working on involves collaborating with Chinese enterprises to implement national development projects in Africa and other regions. He believes that Africans can learn a lot from the working ability and attitude of Chinese people.

  - Founder and CEO of a registered WFOE; AHAVAH GROUP (BEIJING) LTD –focused on Agri-technology promotion and innovation in East Africa as well as trading in agro products through AHAVAH SISA platform. - PhD Political Economics Doctoral Candidate at the University of International Business and Economics. - Obtained MSc Environmental Science and Engineering degree from Tsinghua University. - Prior business experience with an agribusiness start up in Kenya, marketing a variety of innovative low cost, environmentally friendly agricultural inputs to small holder famers. - 16years experience working in the finance and NGO sector in UK and Kenya. Previous organizations include; Christians Against Poverty, United Nations Environment Program and Bloomberg LP. - Currently residing in Beijing, previously lived in the UK, son of the soil from Meru, born in the Republic of Kenya, Pan Africanist and global citizen.
