Workshop | Get Started on your Holistic Health Journey

Unlocking your health, holistically

Life is incredibly busy. The pace of it all only ever seems to increase. Days become weeks, weeks become months, and before you know it another year has passed. In this constant whirlwind of activity, it’s all too easy to become overwhelmed.


Managing your career, relationships, spirituality, and day to day stresses, is a delicate balancing act. To maintain this balance, it’s important to look after your health. Despite the integral function health plays, it more often than not doesn’t receive the attention it deserves.


Food is fuel

Nutrition and exercise are the foundations of health. I’m sure you’ve heard the old adage: “you are what you eat”. Sometimes the wisdom of the ages should be confined to the past, whereas other times it gets it exactly right. Food, the fuel that put in your body, has a direct impact on how you feel. Remember the carb coma the last time you had that second piece of chocolate cake that was as delicious as it was unnecessary. That’s the impact food can have on how you feel, but how can you figure out what fuel you need?


Real food is the fuel the body craves, but it’s important to remember that not everybody needs the same type of fuel. Perhaps you’ve tried to make a change in the past, starting a new workout regime, or trying the latest diet, only to fall back into old habits. Maybe it’s time you tried something a little different, something a little more holistic?


What can you ADD to your life?

Health isn’t about what foods you should or shouldn’t be eating, or what exercise trend you should or shouldn’t be following. Health is about addressing the things that are missing from your diet, and your life.


In this workshop we will cover:


1.       What the holistic approach to health is, and how you can leverage it

2.       Making strategic health food choices to optimize your health

3.       Managing exercise, diet, career, relationships and spirituality, and how to successfully integrate them

4.       Maintaining the balance between competing areas of your life

5.       Using food freedom to be happier and more energized!


I can’t wait to meet everyone, and explore what we can you ADD to your life to bring everything back into balance for you!


About the facilitator

Tanja Smits is an Integrative Nutrition Holistic Health Coach and passionate about living a healthy lifestyle. She offers individuals and families suitable food and lifestyle solutions to improve their health. “Each person is different and one person’s food may be another

person’s poison.” She looks into a person’s diet, and improves their health and well-being to make lifelong changes.
