Ivy Education Group is delighted to bring to you our premier Distinguished Speaker Series, featuring journalist and author Lenora Chu. Speaking on the topic “What Path Leads to Success for Our Future Generation?”, Lenora is in a unique position to address that question.

美国记者兼作家Lenora Chu可以从她的独特视角来回答这个问题。Lenora出生于美国，却在养育在传统的中国家庭，接着她又前往美国常春藤盟校斯坦福大学和哥伦比亚大学新闻学院求学。在做过一段时间的顾问工作后，她成为了一名记者，曾为众多声名显赫的机构撰写稿件，其中包括《纽约时报》《华盛顿邮报》和“CNNMoney”网。当她和丈夫带着年幼的儿子于2010年移居上海的时候，他们做了一个谨慎的决定——将他们3岁的儿子送入一所顶尖的公立学校。
Born in the U.S., Lenora was raised in a very traditional Chinese household, and went on to attend U.S. Ivy League schools Stanford University and Columbia’s Graduate School for Journalism. After a short career in consulting, she became a journalist and wrote for various distinguished publications including the New York Times, Washington Post, and CNNMoney. When she moved to Shanghai with her husband and young son in 2010, they made the conscious decision to enroll their son in a local, state-run school.

这个决定由此开始了Lenora对于中国教育制度长达4年的深入研究和观察。她的最终成书《小小士兵：一个美国男孩，一所中国学校，一场国际赛跑》刚在美国出版就好评如潮。
That decision prompted a four year in-depth research and observation of China’s education system. The result is her book “Little Soldiers: An American Boy, A Chinese School, and the Global Race to Achieve”-which has just been released in the U.S. to critical acclaim.

通过她的个人和职业经历，Lenora对中美教育制度形成了自己的真知灼见，了解到两个制度的优势与不足，而这两个制度又能从彼此借鉴到什么。
Lenora will draw upon her personal and professional experiences to share her incredible knowledge and insights of both the U.S. and China’s education systems, their strengths and weaknesses, and what elements they can draw from one another.
