Jesse Appell Stand-up Comedy

Please join Yale Center Beijing and the Yale, Brandeis and Johns Hopkins Alumni Clubs in enjoying the cross-cultural comedy of 艾杰西 Jesse Appell! 

Jesse is a Fulbright alumnus specializing in Chinese comedy and a disciple of famous Xiangsheng 相声"crosstalk" master Ding Guangquan.  His work has been featured on Western and Chinese media alike for its unique comedic style.  This show will feature Jesse's original standup comedy as well as a traditional Xiangsheng performance.  Following the show, Jesse and his Xiangsheng partner will engage the audience in a Q&A about comedy, culture, and how laughter can bring peoples together.  After a hard week’s work, come laugh and learn on Friday, March 11 at the Yale Center Beijing.  NOTE: This show will be entirely in Chinese; Q&A will be in English and Chinese.
