Export controls and sanctions continue to be an important economic tool in each US administration’s China strategy. A slate of new controls issued by BIS on October 7 along with an increased number of entity list, have placed restrictions on American companies operating in China from business partner selection to supply chain management. On April 21, USCBC is pleased to invite you to join a discussion on the evolving state of the US export controls against China, retaliatory sanctions from China, and strategies for MNCs to manage supply chain to boost its resilience. We are honored to have Alison Stafford – Powell, (Partner, Baker McKenzie), Frank Pan (Partner, FenXun - FenXun established a Joint Operation Office with Baker McKenzie in China as Baker McKenzie FenXun which was approved by the Shanghai Justice Bureau in 2015) to share their insights. Key topics will revolve around:

  1. New US export controls against China and the anticipated developments.
  2. China’s reactions and the priority on “national security” in its evolving retaliatory sanctions and export control regimes.
  3. How multinational companies should respond and bolster supply chain resilience in China and beyond.

Following the speakers’ presentation, attendees can take part in the Q&A discussion to have your questions addressed.

The deadline to register for this program is on April 18 at 5:00 pm (China time). This event is for USCBC member companies and invited guests only. Registration is required. Please register using your work email.
