Australia China Alumni Association (ACAA)

Australia China Alumni Association (ACAA)

The Australia China Alumni Association (ACAA) was established in 2007 with the support of the Australian Ambassador to China.  After almost 10 years of operation and growth, the ACAA now communicates with a network of over 20,000+ Australian alumni across greater China. As a non-for-profit organisation, the ACAA is funded through our university and corporate partners and is supported by the Australian Government in China.

The ACAA greatly appreciates all of the on-going support provided by its partner universities, by the Australian Embassy Beijing, by the Australian Consulate Generals (Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu), by Austrade, and by CPA Australia.  Such support has enabled the ACAA to develop into Australia's largest people-to-people alumni network in China.

The ACAA is open to and serves all China-based alumni of Australian universities and provides a variety of services, programs and events, including its annual flagship Alumni Awards, Mentor Program, Alumni Welcome Back Receptions, Career Development Events and Industry Discussion Forums. With offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou and volunteers in many major cities, the ACAA provides a platform to both showcase Australian alumni's contributions to the various commercial and cultural exchanges between Australia and China and to help alumni across China to reconnect.

INVITATION

30th Anniversary Sydney and Guangzhou Sister City

Alumni Event – Cocktail Reception

Sydney’s six leading universities have great pleasure in inviting you and a guest to a very special alumni event to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Sister City relationship between Sydney and Guangzhou.

We are honoured to have as our guest speaker, Dr Chau Chak Wing, a prominent Chinese Australian businessman and philanthropist. Dr Chau is the chairman of Kingold group, a prestigious business established in Guangzhou with a global perspective. The Lord Mayor of Sydney and dignitaries from Guangzhou government will also give brief remarks.

This is a rare opportunity to network with your fellow alumni as well as many other graduates who live and work in the region. This event is one of a number to be held between 30 May – 2 June to highlight the strong links between Sydney and Guangzhou in education, the arts and industry.

There will be special guests from both cities and a number of university staff representatives attending and we look forward to meeting you and sharing news from our institutions.

We very much look forward to welcoming you!

Further Information:           Please go to the 30th Anniversary Sister City website for more details on the celebrations.

This event is sponsored by the City of Sydney, and Study NSW which supports the State’s international student education strategy and programs. The event is also supported by Australia China Alumni Association (ACAA) who serve alumni based in China on behalf of 30+ Australian universities.
