The China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) will hold a briefing on China’s Investment Environment in 2024 and how MNCs are responding to the challenges of today.

The briefing will include a presentation by Eduardo Morcillo, Managing Partner of InterChina, who will share the findings from their latest survey of over 250 MNCs with investments in China and take place on Tuesday, 5 March 2024 at CBBC’s Shanghai office. 

The briefing will provide insights and data-driven findings on the current roadmap for multinationals in China and explore the factors impacting corporate strategies such as geopolitical and local policies, competition, and the mitigation actions to the risks and challenges posed by these factors.

InterChina latest report focuses on the investment environment and corporate best practice of multinationals, drawing conclusions based on data collected through surveys of MNC CEOs. Key themes include:

MNC situation assessment: How companies perceive the investment environment, and the balance between opportunity and risk for their business in China.

MNC strategic direction: what is required to succeed in China, scale, deep localisation, playing local ecosystems, balancing opportunities.

MNC best practices: looking at MNC benchmarks, such as novel ways to achieve growth, adapting to technology trends, investment strategies and M&A/JV tactics, HQ-China relations, governance and organisation models.
