Join The Shanghai Collective for the 2020 Ugly Christmas Jumper party to raise money for Heart to Heart Shanghai.  It will be a night of festive fun and frivolity, including a Christmas Quiz hosted by David Kelman, a huge raffle, after-party Christmas “Disco” with live music, drag queens and dancing!  

 

-Doors open 5:30pm - food, drinks and evening warm up with our hosts Simon Lemin and Nikki Malek

 

-Main event 7 pm - Christmas quiz and raffles (Quiz teams 4-8 people per team)

 

-After-party 9:30pm - The Pearl brings us live Christmas music from The Pearl Red Stars, drag queens and dancers

The Shanghai Collective is an enthusiastic, like-minded bunch of expats who share a love of bringing people together.

Driven by genuine passion for community, The Shanghai Collective works to foster collaborations between businesses, expat small enterprise and local charity whilst leveraging the talents and expertise of our volunteers and members of the community. Our mission is to inspire and excite in a way that makes people want to get involved, to enrich the expat experience and build a dynamic community.

The Shanghai Collective is the brainchild of Janette Seach and Sarah Krasicki, who have lived in Shanghai for over 4 years. In 2017 they launched the ‘SH Christmas’ WeChat groups to share Christmas related information and to promote businesses and events and in 2018 The Shanghai Collective hosted the first Ugly Christmas Jumper Party with money raised donated to Heart to Heart Shanghai.

Following on from the success of the first party, the Ugly Christmas Jumper Party has become and annual event with parties being held in 2018 & 2019.

The money raised from these events, and donated to Heart to Heart, has helped sponsor the open heart surgeries of three children aged 3 months to 9 years old whose families would otherwise not have been able to afford the medical care.

The Shanghai Collective is entirely independent and volunteer run.
